"It's always easy to work with Jonatan King. For me the most important thing is to have a quality instrumental to work with and as soon as possible. Small aspiring artists can't afford months to wait, you gotta be in the loop and it's best not to use the original tracks to avoid copyright problems. If you are serious about making covers, he is a great choice. He provides high quality instrumentals at a great price and in a short time."Shironeko

PRICING
Custom Music Production Services
We understand that each project has unique needs, and as a result, our pricing varies based on several key factors. To give you a clearer understanding of how we determine our pricing, here’s a breakdown of the elements that influence costs:
Key Factors That Affect Pricing
1. Song Length – Longer tracks generally require more production time and effort, which increases the overall cost.
2. Number of Instruments – The more instruments involved, the more complex the arrangement, which adds to the production time and expenses.
3. Complexity of Arrangements – If the song includes intricate arrangements or difficult-to-reproduce instruments, this will significantly impact the price.
4. Mixing and Mastering – Adding mixing and mastering services, whether for instrumentals or vocals, also raises the overall cost.
5. Vocal Coaching and Arrangement – If you need assistance with vocal coaching, fine-tuning melodies, or creating vocal arrangements, this will be factored into the final price.
6. Original Song Creation – If you’re requesting a song to be built from scratch (based on a melody, lyrics, and references you provide), this requires substantial time and effort.
7. Speed – Tighter deadlines will increase cost significantly.
Estimated Pricing
To give you a sense of what to expect, here are some ballpark figures based on common types of projects:1. TV-Size Instrumental (1 to 2 weeks)
Recreating a reliable TV-size instrumental from scratch for an average J-Rock or J-Pop song (nothing too complex, such as TK or Yoasobi). This includes all materials, such as unmixed and mixed stems, and the final instrumental version in maximum quality.Estimated Cost: $500 – $1,200
ㅤ
ㅤ
2. Full-Size Instrumental (2 to 3 weeks)
Recreating a full-size instrumental from scratch for an average J-Rock or J-Pop song (nothing too complex, such as TK or Yoasobi). This includes all materials, such as unmixed and mixed stems, and the final instrumental version in maximum quality.Estimated Cost: $800 – $1,600
ㅤ
ㅤ
3. Complex Instrumental (3 to 6 weeks)
For more intricate songs like "Guren no Yumiya" from Linked Horizon or "Idol" from Yoasobi (whether TV or Full size version), cost will increase significantly. We'll also include all materials, such as unmixed and mixed stems, and the final instrumental version in maximum quality.Estimated Cost: $1,800 – $3,400
ㅤ
ㅤ
4. Original Song Creation (4-Minute Song) (3 to 8 weeks)
If you have a melody, lyrics, and reference track, we can create an entirely original 4-minute song from scratch. This includes vocal and instrumental mixing and mastering, as well as acapella versions, live performance backtracks, and both unmixed and mixed stems.Estimated Cost: $1,000 – $3,000
ㅤ
ㅤ
5. Vocal mixing and mastering (4-Minute Song) (1 to 2 weeks)
Pricing varies based on the complexity, typically ranging from 3 to 20 vocal tracks. Our process includes fine-tuning, timing adjustments, effects, and all the necessary enhancements to make your song sound flawless.
Please note that if the quality of your vocal recordings or performance is not optimal, additional work may be required, which could increase the cost.
The final product will include the vocal mix integrated with your chosen instrumental, fully mastered, along with acapella versions, live performance backtracks, and mixed stems.Estimated Cost: $400 – $1,000
Important Considerations
• Project Scope – Creating a simple guitar cover is vastly different from producing a full orchestral arrangement with over 60 instruments. Likewise, songs with multiple vocal tracks and complex harmonies require significantly more time and attention.• Custom Quotes – Given the wide range of project types and requirements, we highly recommend reaching out to us with your specific needs for a detailed, customized quote. This allows us to assess your project scope accurately and provide you with the best possible pricing.• Revisions – While we work under tight schedules, we understand the importance of fine-tuning your project. For most commissions, we offer up to 3 revisions, and for original songs, up to 5 revisions, as part of the process. If additional revisions are needed beyond that, we’re happy to accommodate them at a rate of $65 per hour. Please note that revisions are intended for reasonable adjustments and not major changes. We pride ourselves on delivering top-tier quality, and with your trust in our process, we’re confident you’ll receive the best sound possible.• Urgent deadlines – If you require a priority delivery due to tight deadlines, we may need to allocate additional resources to ensure timely completion. This will incur an extra fee, ranging from $300 to $3,000, depending on the scope and urgency.• Royalties – For original songs, Jonatan King (JK) requests 20% royalties on all streaming services distribution. However, instrumental covers are royalty-free, meaning there are no additional fees beyond the initial payment once the work is complete.• Discounts – We do not offer discounts or special pricing for bundle deals or full album production.• Work per hour – If you need a team to support your music production workflow our hourly rate is $65.We hope this breakdown provides clarity on how we structure our pricing based on the scope and complexity of your project. For any further questions or to get started, feel free to contact us directly at jonatankingmusic@gmail.com or using the form below. We’re here to work with you every step of the way to ensure your project exceeds your expectations!
About us
Welcome! I'm Jonatan! You have no idea how excited I am to see you here! Since I started this journey back in 2018 it always shocked me to see new up-and-coming anime singers willing to use my music for their projects. It’s something that not only excites but, also, humbles me.I love anime music, I'm sure you do too. Being able to put my heart and soul into each instrumental I make for you is what drives me. Your support means the world to me because I can keep doing what I love. Thanks to your support, Jonatan King is now expanding into a team! Having a team is very important because now we're able to produce better-quality instrumentals in less time. We can help promote our singers through playlisting and guide them better through our discord community. We can also choose better-trending songs since work is distributed within my team rather than everything falling on my shoulders and... that is a huge deal! If you want to grow in this industry, timing is very important and so is choosing the right songs. You can support me and my team by joining our Patreon page here!Best,
JK

GUIDE
Learn how to become an anime singer in a few steps! ☺️
READ CAREFULLY: There are rules to follow when using our instrumentals!
8 minutes read
STEP 1: FIND THE INSTRUMENTAL
Go to our Patreon page or YouTube channel and search for the instrumental you need. If it is not there, chances are we haven't released it yet.
⭐️ PRO TIP: Watch out for quick-and-dirty instrumentals! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. High-quality tracks take time to produce, and cheap, fast options often cut corners—sometimes illegally—by using samples from the original song. Make sure your backing track is both awesome and above board!
STEP 2: PRACTICE THE SONG
If you're not already a Jonatan King Patreon, what are you waiting for? Choose the tier that suits you best, and you'll get instant access to top-notch instrumentals. Now you can practice away and make that cover song truly shine!
⭐️ PRO TIP: Want to get a head start? Join our Discord! We drop early-bird previews and unmixed tracks so you can start recording before the crowd. You've got two options: release your cover with the unmixed track for that raw vibe or hold out for the polished, mixed version—especially if you're eyeing platforms like Spotify or Apple Music.
STEP 3: RECORD YOUR VOCALS
Find your peace and quiet—literally! Record your vocals in the most silent space you can find, using the best mic within your budget. Not sure where to start? YouTube is your best friend for DIY recording tips. A little knowledge can make a budget setup sound almost pro!
⭐️ PRO TIP: Forget the one-take wonder myth! Even pros break it down when recording. Tackle your song in manageable chunks, and don't sweat it if you need to do multiple takes. The aim is perfection, not a sprint. Edit out the missteps and keep the gold—feel free to go for Take 101 if that's what it takes!
STEP 4: MIX YOUR VOCALS
🎵 Mix & Match: Got your vocals and the mixed instrumental? Awesome, now it's time to blend them into a masterpiece. If you're serious about quality, consider leveling up to a PRO ELITE or AGENCY tier on Patreon. With those stems in hand, you can mix your vocals to studio-level perfection!
⭐️ PRO TIP: We highly recommend bringing in a pro mixer for that studio-quality sound. After looping your track a thousand times, your ears can get, well, ear-tired. If a pro's not in the budget, take a mixing mini-break—give yourself at least two days to rest your ears and revisit with a clearer head.
STEP 5: UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO COVER
🚀 You've got your banger cover, now let the world hear it! Being a Jonatan King Patreon means you can post that beauty everywhere. Go all out—film yourself belting it out or pair it with some slick anime edits. Just one tiny favor—don't forget to give us a shoutout in the credits!
⭐️ PRO TIP: So it's your debut video and you're worried it's not Grammy-worthy? Chill! Everyone starts somewhere, and showing your growth is what hooks your fans. Your journey IS the story, so keep leveling up with each video. And remember, the only fail is in giving up!
STEP 6: DISTRIBUTE YOUR COVER
Not sure how to get your cover on Spotify or Apple Music? YouTube's got your back with easy-to-follow tutorials! We're pals with Distrokid and Soundrop—either works great. Just make sure you sort out the licensing so the original song owners get their fair share.🔗 Here's how to do it for Distrokid and Soundrop.
⭐️ PRO TIP:⏱️ Speed vs. Quality: Quick releases can boost your growth, but quality is your long game. Don't rush out unfinished work—your reputation will thank you.🎤 Coaching Corner: Consider hiring a vocal coach to fine-tune your skills with each release.🎵 Pro Instrumentals: When it's time to hit the streaming platforms, opt for our MIXED instrumentals. They're the gold standard in sound quality.
STEP 7: PROMOTE YOUR COVER
Hey JK Patreon, want a free Spotify boost? You got it!Just hop into our Discord, locate the playlisting channel, and drop that Spotify link of your cover. Yes, it's THAT simple!Depending on your Patreon tier, we'll give your cover some prime playlist real estate.
⭐️ PRO TIP: Buddy up! Collaborations with like-minded artists are your express lane to a bigger fan base.🎨 Thumbnail Magic: Keep it clean and easy on the eyes.🔍 Title & Keywords: Less is more. Keep titles short and punchy, and sprinkle some SEO-friendly keywords in the description.
STEP 8: RINSE AND REPEAT
🗳️ Next Big Hit: Wondering what song will take the anime world by storm? Join our Discord for insider polls and discussions. We're quick on the draw! Get previews within hours of new releases—sometimes even 30-second demos from trailers! Stay ahead of the game and make your mark.
⭐️ PRO TIP:🎯 The 100-Song Challenge: Think 20 songs will make or break you? Think again. Aim for at least 100 cover songs before you start measuring your success.📊 Analyze & Adapt: Don't rush to conclusions. Take time to see what's hitting the mark and what's missing. Tweak your approach accordingly.💪 The Long Game: Mistakes are your stepping stones, not stumbling blocks. Kings and Queens aren't crowned overnight—stay focused, stay disciplined, and give yourself the time to rise.
STEP 9: LEARN OUR RULES
Before publishing your cover song please take 10 minutes to read carefully these important rules HERE.
3 IMPORTANT PRINCIPALS
ONE
You must make sure to get proper licensing rights to the original song owners when uploading a cover to any platform, that's the only way they get paid! Also, don't forget that you have to give JK credits when uploading covers where possible.
TWO
If you cancel your Patreon membership you'll have 3 months to use our instrumentals after that, you'll need to rejoin for at least 1 month (to the tier you had before) to reset the clock. Canceling your Patreon membership doesn't require you to unpublish your existing work. Your previously released creations can stay published, even if you're not currently a member.
THREE
You may not download previews or instrumental covers from our YouTube channel for distribution on Spotify, YouTube, or any other platform. Re-uploading or sharing content exclusive to our Patreon is also strictly prohibited. Crediting us does not constitute permission and we grant no exceptions to this rule. Such actions are not only unfair to our current Patreon members, but they also violate copyright laws. Be advised that we issue copyright strikes without prior warning.

ㅤ
ㅤ
🎹 STEMS: These are the individual audio tracks that make up a complete song. Each stem contains a single instrument or vocal part. For instance, one stem may have just the guitar part, another the drums, and another the lead vocals. We provide them in WAV format.Purchasing stems allows artists and producers to have greater control over the mixing and mastering process of a song, enabling them to adjust the levels, apply effects, and integrate the parts more precisely with other elements.
ㅤ
ㅤ
🎵 MIDI Project: A MIDI Project is a digital file that contains a sequence of notes and controller information for instruments, which can be used to recreate a song within a music production software. It does not include actual audio recordings but rather digital instructions that tell your music software how to generate the corresponding sounds. When you purchase a MIDI project, you receive the 'blueprint' to reproduce the instrumental parts using your own synthesizers or virtual instruments. This is ideal for music producers who wish to have full creative control over the sound design and arrangement of their cover songs.

After 3 months, if you want to use any of our instrumentals, you'll have to become a Patreon member for at least one month on the same tier you had before.NOTE: Canceling your Patreon membership doesn't mean you have to unpublish any work you've already created and released while you were a member. However, please be aware that depending on where you distribute your material, obtaining proper licensing for the original song's creators might be necessary.
2) Can I share your instrumentals with other artist or friends?

This allows you to use our instrumentals for up to 5 different artists or projects under your management. Sharing our instrumentals across different projects, friends, or artists outside of the AGENCY tier is strictly prohibited. You are welcome to provide the track to your mixer or producer to enhance your cover song. However, this does not permit them to resell or promote the track or distribute it to other artists.

Jonatan King cannot assist in securing these licenses.
4) Are you accepting commissions?
Yes, we are open to commissions and you can read more about along with some cost estimates HERE
5) Can I use your music commercially?
Yes, as a JK Patreon subscriber, you are granted the rights to use our instrumental covers for commercial purposes as described in point 3. However, if you intend to use our music for cover songs, you are required to obtain the appropriate licensing for the original compositions. Licensing can be secured through platforms like Distrokid or Soundrop, which manage the distribution of generated revenue directly to the original artist and record label.Note: It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary licenses are obtained when using our music commercially. Failure to do so could result in legal action from the original copyright holders.
6) Can you change the key of any instrumental?

If you are subscribed to one of these tiers, you can request a key change directly through our Discord channel. AGENCY 5 key changes per month.
7) Are JK instrumentals 100% done from zero?
All of our instrumentals are 100% original and created from scratch—no samples from the original songs are being used. This is crucial for artists who want to ensure their work is free from legal complications. Many fan-made instrumentals, particularly those that appear online shortly after the release of the original song, may utilize filtering, sampling, or even parts of the original song. Such practices are illegal and can expose you to legal risks. With JK instrumentals, you can be confident that you're working with entirely redone instrumentals.
8) I used one of your instrumentals and received a YouTube copyright claim. What should I do?
There are generally two types of copyright claims you might encounter:Shared Revenue Claims: In most cases, YouTube will issue a claim indicating that your upload is a cover song. Revenue generated from this video will be shared with the owner of the original song, which is standard procedure. This is expected and there's generally nothing you need to do in this case.Incorrect Original Song Claims: Sometimes, the algorithm may incorrectly flag your cover as the original song. This is more likely to happen if our instrumental is very faithful to the original and your vocals closely mimic the original singer. If this occurs, as a general recommendation, you can appeal the claim with the following statement: "The music and vocals have been redone from scratch and no samples or sounds from the original song were used. This is 100% a cover song." Remember that the original song owner is not obligated to approve it. You're appealing as part of a "fair use" case.Caution: If you have modified our instrumental by adding samples or other elements that were not originally created, you risk receiving a copyright strike on your channel. Always ensure that any additional elements you add are also free from copyright infringement. Finally, it's important to note that the original song creator or owner retains the right to take down your content at any time, even if it's a cover song that you believe falls under "fair use." Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to intervene in such situations.

Yes, BUT... "Jonatan’s songs are definitely the ones any anime singer in YouTube would want. He delivers high quality masterpieces and that shows because my vocals become more powerful as I get hyped while singing them! You just need to listen to his orchestra arrangements in some of his covers to realize that Jonatan doesn’t cut short on quality and that he truly is a great musician/composer who will deliver the best to his followers."Marumoru Nai
